In January of 2016, we started Enkel with the dream of transforming the way businesses manage their bookkeeping and accounting functions.
Entrepreneurs ourselves, we realized that managing back office functions too often takes owners away from doing what they love - building and growing the business. So we started Enkel with three things in mind; modern technology underneath, client-centric processes on top, and affordability through and through.
We are so grateful for the support we’ve received these last four years from our clients and partners and wish you all a happy and healthy new year!
Without further ado, here’s a quick recap of what we’ve been up to in 2019!
Our ever-growing team
We started 2019 with 15 team members in our Vancouver office, and 12 team members in our office in Noida, India.
As our client base grew, we hired experienced accounting professionals to join our leadership team, and subject matter experts to manage the day-to-day operations and client needs. We added a payroll team to manage payroll services, and a client success team to handle all customer support issues and inquiries.
Today, we have 23 employees in Vancouver and 22 in India and are excited to see that number grow in 2020.
Working with Not-For-Profit Organizations
We’ve worked closely with several not-for-profit organizations over the last four years to improve accounting processes and financial reporting, allowing them to focus on furthering their purpose and missions.

People & Culture
As we’ve grown, we’ve focused on building a culture rich in collaboration and respect for our clients, partners, and team members. Not only have we had a number of team building activities, but we engaged in a number of initiatives that help us give back to the community.
