The Digital NonProfit
This June, we attended the Digital NonProfit conference hosted by NetSquared Vancouver. The Digital NonProfit conference focuses on supporting the not-for-profit sector with digital strategies to engage with donors and members online to fulfil their missions. The conference brought together over 150 stakeholders from our local not-for-profit community and we had a great time learning and meeting everyone.
The conference highlighted the important role that technology plays in the success of the not-for-profit sector. In order to drive social impact and achieve their goals, the not-for-profit sector has to adapt and shift towards technology adoption. From digital marketing strategies to fundraising, to operations, technology can help transform the sector and empower staff and the organizations to deliver on their missions.
We would like to thank Netsquared Vancouver for giving us the opportunity to be part of this amazing conference.
Downtown East Side Volunteer Day
Having a Growth Mindset is one of our core values at Enkel and we are always striving for opportunities to improve our communities. With this in mind, we partnered with our sister company, Optimus Informations Inc, for the Downtown East Side Volunteer Day on Saturday, June 22nd.
We spent the afternoon handing out veggie samosas and water to the residents of the downtown east side, serving over 300 people. It’s important to us that we can give back to our community, and this is a small way for us to do just that.
Key Performance Indicators of a Healthy Not-For-Profit Organization
In order for a not-for-profit organization to meet its long term goals, the management team has to regularly monitor the financial health of the organization. For example: If one of the organization’s long term goals is to effectively deliver on their programs, they would need to regularly monitor the amount and timing of their donations. This could guide the organization’s future planning for fundraising activities to ensure the organization maintains enough donations to deliver on their programs and meet their long term goals.
The best way for the management team to monitor the financial health of the organization is to use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). KPIs are quantifiable measures that organizations can use to determine if they are on track to meeting their goals. In this article, we identified 5 financial KPIs that are commonly used by organizations to monitor their financial health.
At Enkel, we help not-for-profit organizations and businesses streamline their bookkeeping, payroll, and other accounting services through cloud-based technology and our team of experienced accountants and bookkeepers. Contact us today to learn more about how we can help!
