Acknowledging First Peoples & Traditional Territories

Enkel would like to acknowledge that our offices are situated on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

We recognize the deep historical and ongoing connection of these First Nations peoples to the lands and waters where we operate. The Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations have stewarded these territories for thousands of years, and their cultures, traditions, and governance systems continue to shape the communities we serve.

By acknowledging these traditional territories, we honor the Indigenous peoples whose lands we occupy and commit to respecting their rights, knowledge, and sovereignty. This acknowledgement is not merely ceremonial, it represents our dedication to building meaningful relationships with First Nations communities and supporting reconciliation efforts across Canada.

At Enkel, we believe that business success must be built on a foundation of integrity, respect, and accountability. Just as we help organizations strengthen their financial operations, we are committed to strengthening our own organizational practices around equity, inclusion, and Indigenous partnership. We recognize that reconciliation requires ongoing action and commitment from all sectors, including the private business community.

We encourage our clients, partners, and team members to learn more about the histories and contemporary contributions of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Understanding and respecting Indigenous perspectives enriches our work and helps us build a more just and sustainable future for all.
